The term readership applies to the estimated number of readers the publication has, such as newspapers, magazines, and social media.
b).
One difference between the sun and the daily mail by analyzing the data shown below is the sun has more male readers rather than women in the sun rather than the daily maile. It shows 10.6% of men read the daily male compared to 6.9%. This is because the content within the sun being more explicit and more appropriate to the male gaze.
Another difference shown below is that the sun has more readers between the ages of 15-34-year-olds compared to the daily male. As a larger percentage of younger audiences reads the sun magazine compared to the daily mail, this is because the sun contains more informal content as well as more pictures and less writing, which targets the younger audience. We can see this through 7.3% of younger audiences reading the sun, compared to the 2.8% reading the daily mail.
c)
The first newspaper would be the daily mail, the content, and justification behind this newspaper would be because it is a more formal based newspaper, this is because it provides less pictures and more writin.
The justification behind this would be because the daily mail primarily targets the older audience shown by the statics of 8.9% being older than 35+ and only 2.8% being of the ages 15-35. Through this, we can see the daily mail content is informative and interesting to this audine.
